Training session on Legal implications of hate speech, with special emphasis on online hate speech in Osijek
On Monday and Tuesday, November 6 -7, a training session will be held in Osijek, covering the issue of “Legal implications of hate speech, with special emphasis on online hate speech”.
Target groups for both days will be students, civil society organizations and representatives of the media.
Lecturers will be Ms Maja Munivrana Vajda, Associate Professor at the Chair of Criminal Law of the Faculty of Law in Zagreb and Ms Tena Dundović, LLM.
Participants will be introduced to the European and national legal framework with regard to hate speech, after which they will learn about media literacy, following which there will be an interactive workshop where they will acquire knowledge about reporting hate speech and the rules and activities of various news portals and social networks with regard to unacceptable content on their websites.
